Equipment performance and characteristics
Introducing our revolutionary lost foam mold design, which offers a comprehensive solution for casting holes, reducing machining allowance, and eliminating the need for complex and expensive sand cores. Our advanced mold design is aimed at reducing costs and improving efficiency in the casting process.
One of the key points of our comprehensive lost foam mold design is the ability to easily create casting holes directly on the mold. In other casting methods, casting holes are typically obtained through sand cores or machining. However, our innovative mold design utilizes special mechanisms such as pins and mandrels to create casting holes directly on the mold. This not only reduces the need for subsequent machining but also helps in reducing overall costs.
Eliminate Complex And Expensive Cores
EPC process eliminates the indispensable sand core in ordinary sand casting. The fixed and movable movable blocks in the EPC mold form a similar shape to the sand core in the foam model, that is, the shape in the casting.
Principles for Selecting Casting Methods in Lost Foam Mold Applications
Priority to Sand Casting
Sand casting should be primarily adopted due to its cost-effectiveness, simplified production processes, and shorter lead times. Transition to clay-bonded sand with surface-dried molds, dry sand molds, or alternative sand systems only when green sand proves inadequate. Clay green sand accommodates castings ranging from a few kilograms to dozens of kilograms, while clay dry sand systems support castings up to dozens of tons.
Batch-Production Alignment
Advanced methods such as low-pressure casting, die casting, and centrifugal casting require substantial investments in specialized equipment and molds, rendering them economically viable exclusively for mass production scenarios.
